Beauty, the diversity that surrounds me
In the middle of the world and transversely crossed by the Andes Mountains, we ploughed through its dense terrain; one that awakens and sharpens the senses. To walk along the western plains or through the eastern green vegetation is just as much a privilege as to inhabit the rugged mountains. Surprising places in the mountains, cities are built in the heights of hidden geographies.
We live in a land whose powerful nature is expressed at every moment. When we look to the sky, the geography and its profiles are always with us, from the delicate butterfly wings that unfold over the living water of the Yasuní, to the frog jumping from puddle to puddle and the howler monkey that relays its message in the canopy of the rain forest. A condor flies over the snow of Antisana, while tiny flowers emerge like suns on the earth. The sun, though it is the same for the whole planet, shines differently in Ecuador. Here, it warms differently and makes us different. Culture and nature go hand in hand. Either because we are custodians of a natural heritage essential to humanity, or because of the historical and cultural legacy that we have built and which is necessary to maintain.
